As always eating out is part of the great adventure.   All of the restaurants featured on the “Good Eats Pages” are independently owned and operated.
A
Destination Agent has given each restaurant sponsored on these pages the ADA Stamp of Approval     EXPERIENCE  quality, ambience & home cooked local cuisine at prices often much lower than the major chain restaurants. Get back in touch with your taste buds today…eat locally.

Spring is a great time to plant as well as to visit local gardens, nurserys and  garden shows. Spring is also a great time for road trips, which brings us to the price of gas.  With gas prices topping $2.00 a gallon, here are a few gas saving tips.

Saving TIPS for Road Trips:

  • Use the proper grade of gasoline recommended by your car manufacturer. Use the lowest recommended grade.
  • Don’t top off your tank. Studies show that  “top off “ remains in the hose and/or is lost to evaporation.
  • Avoid sudden stops and rapid acceleration.  Cruise control is the most efficient
  • Purchase gas a mile or so away from major Interstates and Intersections.  Wander “Off the Beaten Path” and SAVE.
  • Indian Reservations have traditionally lower gas prices plus the added benefit of interacting with the our Native Americans…Priceless.
  • Shop for gas at non-brand name stations.  The Department of Energy website at http://www.eia.doe.gov  gives  interesting information on oil companies as well as information on current gas prices in your local area at www.fueleconomy.gov

The bottom line is:
It’s the same product, wherever you choose to buy it. Be an informed shopper

Wherever your travels may take you,
Remember to STOP and SMELL the flowers
