Spring is a great time to plant as well as to visit
local gardens, nurserys and garden
shows. Spring is also a great time for road trips, which brings us to
the price of gas. With gas
prices topping $2.00 a gallon, here are a few gas saving tips.
Saving TIPS for Road Trips:
- Use
the proper grade of gasoline recommended by your car manufacturer.
Use the lowest recommended grade.
- Don’t
top off your tank. Studies show that
“top off “ remains in the hose and/or is lost to evaporation.
- Avoid
sudden stops and rapid acceleration.
Cruise control is the most efficient
- Purchase
gas a mile or so away from major Interstates and Intersections.
Wander “Off the Beaten Path” and SAVE.
- Indian
Reservations have traditionally lower gas prices plus the added
benefit of interacting with the our Native Americans…Priceless.
- Shop
for gas at non-brand name stations.
